Why is there value to mental health treatment? Do I need to have something wrong to receive treatment? What are the goals of a fully developed person who is both mentally strong and able to react with confidence to even the most difficult and challenging situations? Treatment of our mental health is as valuable as regular yearly physicals.
By understanding the basic responses we have as individuals to difficult situations, we are better prepared when major critical incidents occur. Our mental state and physical state affect one another. When we are mentally weak, we cannot be at our best. Just as when we are physically weak, we don’t have the confidence to be our full selves.
