"Operation Valkyrie" by Tactical Self Rescue is a comprehensive 4-hour self-defense class designed exclusively for women. The class focuses on essential skills such as situational awareness, the effective use of mace, bladed weapons, and martial arts techniques tailored for defense and escape. Participants will learn strategies to avoid dangerous situations and practice combative maneuvers that prioritize escaping from an attacker. This course aims to empower women with practical knowledge and confidence in protecting themselves.

Class Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand and apply the principles of situational awareness to prevent dangerous encounters.
  2. Demonstrate proper handling, usage, and application of mace as a self-defense tool.
  3. Utilize a bladed weapon effectively and safely for self-defense purposes.
  4. Perform basic physical defensive and offensive strikes, breaks, and maneuvers to escape from an attacker.

Course Objectives for Tactical Defense Level I

The Tactical Defense Level I course is designed to equip participants with fundamental skills in the safe and effective use of their bodies for defensive purposes. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises, participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of situational awareness, defensive combative techniques, and relevant legal considerations pertaining to the self-defense laws of Massachusetts.

Course Objectives:

    - Understand the importance of situational awareness in preventing and responding to threats.
    - Develop skills to identify potential threats and assess environments for safety.
    - Learn techniques to enhance observation and vigilance in various settings.
     
  2. Legal Considerations
    - Gain knowledge of Massachusetts self-defense laws and legal standards for using force.
    - Understand the legal implications of self-defense actions and the importance of proportionality in response.
    - Learn about the aftermath of a defensive encounter, including interactions with law enforcement and legal procedures.
     
  3. Defensive Mindset and Preparedness

  4. Defensive Combative Techniques

    - Develop proficiency in using the body's natural weapons (hands, elbows, knees, etc.) for self-defense.
